At fashion shoot on a New York City street I noticed men turning away from Cindy Crawford in fear.  In this work we can see the highly manipulated motion pictures of Crawford fabricating a myth of beauty and power.  I created two parallel screens, on one the motion images of the fashion shoot, overly wrought repetitive illuminated imagery of celebrity revealing the ultimate power of commodification and manufactured image. On the other screen, we see text flickering on a undulating flesh pink screen, attributed and imagined words about Ms. Crawford’s internal life. The collision of the two image walls function as a cruel anchor to her presentation.
