The symbol of the tower in mythology signifies the folly of human presumptuousness. Repressed histories of control and domination.  I conflated these notions using multilayered historical architectural imagery of the towers, a multi-layer wash of color fields, and the voice recordings of Noam Chomsky and a dash-cam video from a police cruiser showing the killing of an unarmed  black teenager by Chicago police. This work captures the final moments before 17-year-old Laquan McDonald was shot 16 times. The piece seeks to examine the visible and not so invisible violence at play in the culture. The body as the political battle ground against the underclass is a recurring theme.
